To be the leading provider of services and assistance required by the tourism sector in the country to function competitively in domestic and overseas market and to represent common interest of stakeholders specially in SME Tourism sector at all tourism forums.
The prime objective of the CTISL is to bring the benefits to the tourism industry by being the link between the tourism stakeholders of the country along with the Provincial Authorities and the Central Government to promote and develop tourism sector paying special attention to the SME tourism sector in the North & Eastern Region where tourism industry was severely affected for three decades due to war situation.
The community is mostly less privileged in the North & Eastern Region. It is understood that the community participation needs to be encouraged to sustain standards, quality and growth in the province. CTISL intends to implement several community development and capacity building projects to empower and to develop self confidence of the community to participate in development especially in tourism business.
CTISL also intends to provide support and facilitate (Training, Linkages and Counseling) to micro, small and medium enterprises in tourism of their business development and assist youth through tourism business start up support and tourism training.
Youth especially in the North & Eastern Region are to be supported to link up tourism training programmes on offer so that they equip themselves with the skills required to compete in the tourism job market. Travel & Tourism Business planning training programme has to be conducted to develop their tourism businesses and make use of business development service on offer.
Unemployed youths will be supported to find suitable employment through tourism training provided through recognized tourism training providers. Entrepreneurs in tourism are supported to improve and upgrade their quality standards through capacity building training, business planning and counseling and linking with new tourist markets.
Investors interested in the region will be assisted to find competitive opportunities and linked with tourism stakeholders in the country. Future activities of the CTISL include developing investment profiles for tourism sector specially in the North & Eastern Region.
Conducting Mobile Services for Travel, Tourism& Hospitability trade in the province and youths to become economically empowered a key element in the reintegration process. This is an important contribution to the youth of the North & Eastern Region who are looking for new opportunities for gainful employment in Tourism & Hospitability industry.
The tourism stakeholders networking event bring together tourism entrepreneurs, youths who are undergoing tourism training and the various service providers in one forum. This will be able to develop mutually favorable networks and linkages while becoming actors in the tourism development of the North & Eastern Region
