Massage from the Hon.Prime Minister for International Women Day 2019 Organized by: CTISL

February 24, 20190

Women’s contribution in almost all the fields including the present day science and technology, communication, education, industry and tourism claims women’s achievements and demands the need of maintaining a gender parity mind-set.
Women have come a long way through many hardships, life challenges with much of courage and commitment to assure a sustained living for them. What the women have achieved so far is an achievement of the community because our family and the society are bound by the decisive role played by her.
Women’s active role and commitment in tourism and its promotion are laudable to steer our country’s progress. “Think equal, build smart, innovate for change” will give us momentum to forge new ways which we can empower women and recognise their silent contribution in development process.
I express my sincere appreciation of the admirable endeavour of Chamber of Tourism and Industry- Sri Lanka to celebrate International Women’s Day at Arugambay a place of tourist attraction.
